Photographer’s Note

This pic shows the lighthouse on the Castle Pier, St Peter Port, Guernsey in the Channel Islands. It is a popular fishing spot, and a very photogenic location with views of St Peter Port harbour, Castle Cornet, and the islands of Herm, Jethou, and Sark.
It was taken a few minutes after sunrise. The sun came up at the perfect angle to shine through the small window in the lighthouse tower.
The only photoshop work done was to slightly rotate it to straighten the horizon. The colours really were beautiful.

Such a beautiful sunrise, i like the fact that you placed the sun behind the lighthouse so that it seems to be glowing, good exposure and your composition is exerlent, top marks!
