Photographer’s Note
Hurricane Ivan blew across Grand Cayman in the autumn of 2004. I arrived 6 months later and saw abandoned cars (sea-water damage), piles of sand that once blocked the road, damaged buildings, and memorials to those who perished in the cyclone.
I passed this house several times before finding a decent angle at which to take the photograph. Framed tightly between two trees seems to work.
