Dune Preserve is multi leveled/winged restaurant/bar, wich appears to be quite alternative to other places in Anguilla. The owner Bankie Banx built it of old and broken parts of boats, trees and such. It is funny that after a hurricane he would just gather the broken parts back together withough having to spend on new materials.
Do not mean to deminish this place and its owner in any way - on the contrary it is a decent, although some wold say - a funky place, which is quite popular on the island, and a definite must see for the the visitors. Anguilla is one of the most expensive islands in the Caribbean where all kinds of big titles and stars have houses or come for an escape holiday. This place is different and charming, standing next to one of the rich hotels Cuisine Art on the Rendezvous Bay, facing the neighbour island St.Martin.
It was low season when i was visiting so the place was absolutely empty but open and i was wandering around alone wit no opportunity to taste the cuisine.
Made a few interesting shots and will add more of them later on |
