this is the beach at shoal bay east, just before sunrise, on the island of anguilla in the british west indies.
it has regularly been voted among the best beaches in the world, and it's not hard to see why. even during the day it is pretty much deserted, the sand is white, the sea clear, and sky blue.

Indeed, this must be a paradise! Love the way you captured the move of water due to the perfectly executed exposure. Charming visual effect was achieved. TFS!

Good setting for the exposure time and good rendering of the colors; especially for the pink-orange colors between the beach and the sky.

Thank you for sharing, I didn't know it was one of the best beaches in the world. It certainly looks like one in your image.
Beautiful colours and perfect shutter speed to blur the waves and create interesting foreground.

This is so beautiful Brian and very much to my liking. Lucky you having the opportunity to visit such an unspoiled beach. Impressive exposure selection in daylight and I wonder what filter you used to slow the SS. There is no perceptible colour cast and that is a problem I cannot seem to combat with this type of shot.
Simple and beautiful with no artifice ... I like this very much.

Being married to one, I know they say Irishmen are the most unromantic men in the world. But this photo puts a lie to that. It's so beautiful, dreamlike and ethereal. I love the pastel colours and the effect the slow exposure has had on the retreating tide. A lovely shot, beautifully composed, executed and realised.
Have a lovely evening, thanks for sharing

Beautifully simple composition, with the 1/2 sec shutter speed giving the main visual interest. Despite the location, and the pinks in the sky, it still looks cold to me! Perversely, I think the lack of a focal subject is a real strength of this shot. Good work.

You make such a simple subject wonderfully evocative and moody. The long exposure is just perfect and the colours are exquisite.
Kind Regards, Ann
