This is a view from The Crooked Road in Lislea (my familys home village) to Slieve Gullion in the distance. These 2 guys very kindly posed for me aswell adding some unexpected but nice foreground interest :)

Slieve Gullion (Irish: Sliabh Cuilinn) is a part of the Ring of Gullion. It is in the south of County Armagh in Northern Ireland, and the highest point in the county at 573 metres.
The mountain features in the epic poem Táin Bó Cuailnge. It is also suggested that this is the area where Cuchullain lived as a child. There are many local legends about Slieve Gullion involving the Cailleach Beara (a witch who transforms into a hare). There are two cairns, including a passage grave just below the peak.

Slieve Gullion is an extinct volcano with a crater lake, and the mountain is the centre of a ring dyke. Slieve Gullion has been shaped by glaciation and is a 'crag and tail' glacial feature. The 'tail', composed of glacial deposits, points south, ending at Drumintee.

Thanks for looking :)

Gary

Great light and color here. The horses look like they cooperated well for the shot too :)

i just like this photo. tfs

Nice vivid colours in this shot. Gives me the impression of a very relaxing place to be.

Hello Gary, Great capture, beautiful vivid colors, the green are vibrant and lush, superb sharpness and depth of field, lovely light and excellent composition and point of view.

Hi Gary,
This is nice. I think its the deep rich colors and clarity that really stand out for me. Very well done and TFS. Gerald

This is an awesome shot.
There are so many good things about it, I don't know where to begin. I love the red of the horses and the way it's picked up again throughout the shot. The different shades of green and those different patterns like a patchwork quilt in the valley. The way the line goes from right to left on the first hill and then the other way going up those magnificently lit hills in the distance. And that sky! It's wonderful! Beautiful rich color, great detail. Awesome.
Many thanks and kindest regards,
Shelly

Bonjour Gary,
La nature telle qu'on l'imagine en Irelande. Cette image pourrait ętre utilisée pour des dépliants touristiques. Bien composé, jolies couleurs, netteté impeccable : bien fait !

Hi Gary,
Very beautiful shot of a typical irish landscape : many kinds of green, a great light and a very beautiful sky. The horses in the foreground create a good DOF.
Regards,
Olivier

Hallo, Gary.
This is so richly coloured but still realistic. The chequerboard of fields getting smaller and smaller gives a wonderful impression of distance, and the horses are perfectly placed and lit.
But what really attracts me is seeing Slieve Gullion. Seventy years ago I spent a few days with an aunt in Littlebridge and this hill was the main feature of the horizon. Last July I visited there for the second time but there were no distant views, and the day I drove on to Strabane it poured so I did not go too near the mountains. Thank you for showing me what I missed.
Best wishes, Winifred

Hello Gary,

You captured the two horses, one looking askance at you, a beautifully composed image, with brilliant colors and resolution. The note is useful also to get a perspective on this area — which I can see is a source of pride.

Have a good weekend,

Bulent

Hi Gary
