Photographer’s Note
The town of Carrickfergus is on the north coast of Belfast Lough about 10 kilometers from Belfast city. Carrickfergus is considered as the oldest town in county Antrim. It was named after King Fergus 1st of Dal Riada, 6th long of Dal Riada, a kingdom that used to be on both Northern Ireland and west Scotland. The town hosts a 11th century castle, one of the most well preserved norman castles in Ireland. The photo was taken at sunset, the sun gave nice warm colours to the castle and to the quays.

Bonjour Olivier,
The first impression is the light, so beautiful so soft with lovely golden tone. Very impressive castle, with all the stone wall, like something you hear of fairly tale book. I like the relax and and peaceful setting, not too many people around, must be very nice to walk around and enjoy the evening sun. Good composition, lovely pastel tone yet nice texture and details ont he castle. Merci.
