Photographer’s Note

Mourne Mountains (often just called Mournes) are a mountain range in the south-east of Northern Ireland, not far from the frontier with Republic of Ireland. The highest point of Mourne Mountains (Slieve Donard, 850 metres) est is also the highest mountain in Northern Ireland. These wonderful wild mountains are a paradise for hillwalkers, they are numerous when the weather is nice. I was very lucky with the weather when I was there : I stayed 3 nights in the Mournes, I couldn't see a cloud and temperatures were very warm for Ireland (up to 25°C !).

This view was taken in the west of Mournes, on the road from Hilltown to Rostrevor. It is a stitch of 7 vertical photos in RAW format.
