Photographer's Note

Nendrum, Co. Down overlooks Strangford Lough. Nendrum is an Early Christian monastic site, with the remains of a monastery and a Celtic round tower. These round towers were used for santuary by the monks during viking raids which were commonplace around our shores. This photograph was taken a short distance from the monastic site at sunset.
