Photographer’s Note

Cultis Lough is located along the road from Banbridge to Castlewellan. This is a favourite fisherman's stop and also a good place to stop and feed the resident swans. Taken during a sunny week in Ireland, which is quite a rarity these days.

Hi Joni,
I enjoyed reading your profile page and looking through your gallery, very good images. PS 6 is a bit old now, you might consider an upgrade.
Lovely shot, good contrasting colours and light.
Your composition is good too.
What is letting this shot down is the focus. The image looks quite soft. Don't forget to sharpen as the last step before posting.

This is a fine composition!
The tranquil landscape is well shown, and the placement of the boats is perfect...
Good lines and attractive colours, and I think Peter gives a good advice about sharpening after resizing!

Beautiful fresh new post Joni. The sunny break adds warmth with layers and lines making excellent perspective. Very good land/sky division in pleasant framing. I would enjoy the fishing and the swan feeding here, I'm sure. Best regards. Jusni

Dear Joni

I like this peaceful scene. It makes one wish to run and jump into the water and feel its coolness - I can hear the birds ... you have a nice balance with the boats offside to the left. I like that artistic effect, not everything should be centered. Nice work Joni. You have recieved good points also for this. I think at times once our photos have passed the Gallary stage they don't often get noticed again. I have some photos that I think were very nice, but never get a point. People also don't often rate comments either.

I like the composition, including boats and a farm together. I love both! The colours are very nice and I like that diagonal lines on the plantations.

this is a wonderful composition with excellent colors and a great pov. I love the boats and the buoy. I agree with Peter - a little more sharpness would be good.

I like this composition with the boats, hills and the lake. The colors are well saturated and warm. Good photo although a bit too soft.

Hello Joni,
it's a beautiful view, but as far as the focus is concerned, the picture really needs sharpening :) Perhaps you can add a sharpened photo in the WS?
After several years of taking ditigal photos I still can't understand what happens to images after resizing LOL They lose sharpness! I'm not a guru in this sphere, though.
Anyway, concerning the beautiful landscape: very lovely colours and good composition! The "red element" present in the image is a very nice addition :) I like the silvery surface of the water!
