Photographer’s Note

Taken during the brief snowfall last month in Derrymore woods in bessbrook Co Armagh at sunrise.

A picturesque wood owned by the National trust that has the popular attraction of Derrymore House.

Bessbrook is situated in South Armagh about 5km west of Newry. It is passed on the S by the A25 and on the E by the B133 but neither road enters the village. The site was chosen in the mid-19th century to build a large linen factory and the core of the "Model Village" dates from the second half of that century. Most of the original village still exists and there are many modern additions.

Thanks for looking :)
Gary
