The seaside town of Portrush as seen from the harbour is a very popular and busy holiday resort on the border between Co Antrim and Co Derry. The town is built on a mile long peninsula with two long sandy beaches.the houses in the picture are mainly used as guest houses and B&B accomodation in the summer and quite a few turned into student accomodation in winter for students attending the nearby University of Ulster in Coleraine. Royal Portrush Golf Club is the only golf club outside of mainland Great Britain to have hosted the Open Championship.

Exquisite photo taken on a bright day over the small harbour and town houses on far BG.
Colors are lavishly vivid and the whole view is enchanting and charming.

What a beautiful presentation of this town, so much color, and so beautiful as it is by the sea. I often drive through towns bursting with color like this and wonder why not every town is presented in such a way! As you note though, it has a beachfront location so no doubt the tourist cash makes a great incentive.
I really like that you chose to present this scene as a slice of color between two beautiful tones of blue. Sometimes I feel I only appreciate color of places when I see other peoples presentations, it was the same with Rosemarys recent uploads of her trip to Ireland.
Portrush, added to my next Northern Ireland itinerary! You should be on an Explore NI commission basis!

Fascinating panoramic, this beautiful population, peering at its port with colorful boats that give a great charm to the composition, I love the shades of blue as the sky and sea.
A lovely place, looking calm and relaxing environment to enjoy.
Very good image quality, sharpness is also great.
Very good job. I like.
Enjoy a happy day.

a very lovely picture, a comprehensive presentation in a panoramic frame that allows us to see so much of this long peninsula. Clarity is superb and we can examine each one of the houses and the boats. There's great depth and the composition of layers is wonderful. I like how you've left the lower half of the frame to the textured sea while the upper part is so rich in interest and details. Light and colours are beautiful. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,

Nice variety of colors among the boats. The bright red ones (and the building) are especially eye-catching.

magnifico panorama colorato, sono molto gli elementi da osservare, case e barche si uniscono in un'unica striscia di colore sottolineata da mare e cielo.

I have spent time locating Portrush on Google maps as I was not certain exactly where it was located. I'm sure we must have passed close by, for we spent some time on Cruit Island, Donegal and travelled from there to the Giant's Causeway. Unfortunately, that was before I took up the hobby of photography!
This is such a colourful scene. The boats begin the visual attack, followed closely by the attractive houses. The reds are nicely spread around the scene ensuring that the viewers scan the entire frame, linking the colours together.
The sky and the sea make a delicious blue sandwich for this most attractive town.
My warm regards,

wow, this should be one of those paint-by-numbers games!
the colors surely pop and sizzle here!
I like how we can see a little bit of red, but how the red really explodes.

Hello Arthur - I have been busy this week and have had little time to write any critiques so sorry for my late comments. A lovely colourful shot of what looks to be a very attractive seaside town. I love the way the clouds are massing behind the houses... rain on its way perhaps! Warm regards Rosemary
