Photographer's Note

Last weekend we went for a drive through the Glens of Antrim an area of outstnding natural beauty.Cushendall a small village lies at the the meeting point of three of the nine Glens of Antrim. The glens are deep valleys that radiate from the Antrim Plateau, a product of glaciation formed during the last Ice Age. At the centre of the village is this curfew tower built by Francis Turnley around 1820 as the town jail five storeys high with its own dungeon. It is currently run as an artists residency.
