Photographer’s Note
I think the biggest surprise for me on my day trip to Belfast, was that I really liked that city, despite the problems out side the city center. My colleague who I was traveling with, said as much to a local person. The local looked at her with concern and said "But you realize there are a lot of problems here."
This is a picture in Victoria Square Mall, located in the center of Belfast. I don't really get into shopping malls, but I think this is one of the most interesting and pleasant malls I've ever seen. In the center there is a huge pillar with balconies and bridges to each level of the mall. The pillar goes up approximately 6 stories and ends in a big atrium and an observation deck from which one can see all of Belfast. According to our Taxi driver the view from the top of the atrium is better than that from the farris wheel, and it's free. See the workshop for a view of the viewing deck.

Hi Kate,
Clever idea--this reminds me of the famous M.C. Escher stairs print! Unfortunately the amount of movement made this a bit blurry; maybe a faster shutter speed would have been better. But thematically, I really appreciate that you took photos of things besides City Hall and the sectarian murals on your trip to Belfast :) Great note too!

Kate Es una muy buena idea la perspectiva obtenida en esta fotografía. La variedad de elementos en diferentes niveles genera una muy buena composicion.
