this is torr head, on the county antrim coast, where the atlantic ocean meets with the irish sea. it is a rocky outcrop made of the same system of sedimentary rock that stretches across ireland and scotland.
on the horizon is the mull of kintyre in scotland with a few white clouds hanging overhead, resembling smoke signals from our scottish cousins. the distance between scotland and northern ireland is about 13 miles at this point.

Good Morning Brian - Gorgeous greens and blues and a wonderful coastline. I can almost feel the brisk, fresh breeze on my face as I look down upon the farm nestled in the valley. A beautiful shot full of fine detail. Warm regards Rosemary

Wow is it really that close? I remember catching the boat from Larne to Stranraer but it seemed endless. The rocks certainly look similar, I remember seeing the formations on the Isle of Skye and how similar they looked to those in Antrim. And again you've brought us that strange Irish combination of green fields, blue sea and azure sky. Razor sharp definition, good natural saturation and a fascinating view of this marvellous landscape. Thanks for sharing, have a good Sunday.

Good Morning Brian,
The strains of the music dance in my head as I look at your beautiful capture. The verdance of the f/g is immediately apparent. The rocky headland dips it toes in the azure Atlantic, leading the way across to the island horizon. A postcard for Antrim most certainly.
Have a lovely Sunday,

I remember very well when I drove on Torr Head Scenic Route. It is an absolutely fantatstic place, one of the most beautiful I've seen in Ireland ! You had very good conditions, the horizon is so clear you can see Scotland over the sea ! I had sunny weather when I've been there, but not such good conditions.
Have a nice day,

The lovely point of view you took this image from lets us enjoy all the beauty of Ireland's green pastures and countryside. This is really Ireland at its best. The rocky headland reminds me of the Rock of Gibraltar with the Scottish [Moroccan] coast on the other side.

Un très beau paysage écossais. La mer est belle sous cette belle lumière et les beaux terrains vallonnés et d'un très beau vert sont superbes et bien nets.

Not a sophisticated scenery indeed but a very good one quite clear and luminous, colors blending well together and nicely accentuated without any excess
Have a nice Sunday

I knew that Scotland was quite close to you but I didn't realise that only 13 miles separated us from you!
This picture (as well as many others in your gallery) has convinced me that I really must visit Northern Ireland sometime very soon.
This is a perfectly composed shot with the most incredible detail throughout. The colours are beautiful and the lighting and exposure perfect. I think that the two parts which I love the most are firstly the lighting on that lovely outcrop of rock in the mid-ground and secondly the fabulous light on the clouds in the distance above the Mull of Galloway.

The gorgeous gentle rolling hills and the feel of this pastoral scene caught my eye, quite a simple shot but shows the natural beauty of this area. Really wonderful rural scene in great depth nicely composed with lovely natural diagonal lines and so much of glowing green. Sharpness is fine and bags of details in rich deep colors and stunning contrast to blue water and sky, the distant clouds further add the beauty. Feast for the eyes even if only for one quick look. Well done and great presentation. TFS

wonderful landscape and view to the calm luminous sea. The point of view is great and makes the most of the lovely natural diagonals, the beautiful inlet, the delightful light of this hour of the day. Clarity is exquisite, colours and contrasts very well defined and attractive. I love the shadows on the rocks, the two main kinds of greens and blues, the distant mountains and the discreet but brilliant and so effective clouds. Well done and thank you!
All the best,
