Photographer's Note

this is torr head, on the county antrim coast, where the atlantic ocean meets with the irish sea. it is a rocky outcrop made of the same system of sedimentary rock that stretches across ireland and scotland.

on the horizon is the mull of kintyre in scotland with a few white clouds hanging overhead, resembling smoke signals from our scottish cousins. the distance between scotland and northern ireland is about 13 miles at this point.
