Photographer’s Note

stone fountain in the grounds of Stapehill Abbey
my lesson was to try and capture some movement with the water

For nearly 200 years, Stapehill Abbey was a place of quiet retreat and meditation home to a Silent Order of Nuns, their numbers have dwindled and in 1989 they sold the abbey and moved their Cistercian order to Dyffed Wales, but the grounds have become a garden and museum of agricultural life in the past.
