Photographer’s Note

Agin on Statsraad Lehmkuhl, but one ay latter compared to the previous posts, because the rainproof jackets are worn now: a traditional activity of all trainees(or junior sailors), polishing the brass! Here little Victoire and a fellow Norvegian trainee are polishing the brass border of one of the large wooden planks where the pins are set.
NB: The pins are the wood or metal bars where the ropes are tied.

Une série qui me rappelle le glorieux temps où je faisais de la voile... sur des navires plus modestes mais...
Les couleurs des vêtements réhaussent les tons plus neutres de l'ensemble, j'aime bien.
