Photographer’s Note
you would not expect to be building snowmen in April, a freak snow storm had me out recording the event. so what have i captured here? freshness, tension, and event you tell me.
the snow had all gone by midday.

Hi Sue.
Amazing scene for this time of year. Although we had snow on our mountains in early March, not long after a very late heat wave. I think you captured the scene well, with the snow people on the right balancing nicely the houses on the left. It must have been hard to get a good exposure in the very bright conditions, but you managed it and preserved some colour and detail in the sky. Maybe a slightly faster speed could have been used. I had a look at some of your other shots, and they're good; you're quite a self-effacing landscape photographer with a good eye for a shot.
Regards,
Andrew

Hello, Sue.
Not seen you here for a wee while! Nice to see you posting again - and what a fine shot this is!
Crytal-clear and sharp as a pin. Perfectly exposed too - not a mean feat with snow scenes. Nice composition with the child and the snowman nicely balanced by the houses diametrically opposite.
I think pretty much the whole country got quite a heavy fall of snow that morning but, as you say, it was gone by late afternoon. This was our street that morning.
Excellent!
Best Wishes,
John.
