Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument located in the English county of Wiltshire, about 8 miles (13 km) north of Salisbury. One of the most famous prehistoric sites in the world, Stonehenge is composed of earthworks surrounding a circular setting of large standing stones. Archaeologists believe that the standing stones were erected around 2200 BC and the surrounding circular earth bank and ditch, which constitute the earliest phase of the monument, have been dated to about 3100 BC. (from Google Maps).
Stonehenge is getting increasingly difficult to photograph now that the site has visitors restricted from walking directly among the stones. This was one of the few "keepers" I was able to get. This was taken with 4-megapixel Kodak point and shoot camera before I upgraded. |

Great picture, love the POV and B&W colours, that black man/women behind looks like ghost- adding more mysterious feeling to this photo.

Good colour tone. I'm also impressed by looking at the small silhouette being overwhelmed by those giant stones. Great framing, both natural (the stones) and the black border.
