Spring - Horse-Chestnut
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Taken today in the same gardens as my two previous postings [which were taken in October 07].
In the warm spring sunshine, the sticky buds of the Horse-Chestnut tree [Aesculus hippocastanum]are starting to open.
Taken in RAW and converted in RAW Therapee software [which does appear to preserve the EXIF settings]
Final adjustments in PS7 [Luko's sharpening method]
Frame and text added in FastStone Image Viewer. |

Hi Peter,
Excellent sharpness, must be the new method! Really nice to see such fine spring colours in the background. Here we have a lot of snow now.
Greetings from Gothenburg
Gunnar
Hi Peter, a welcome sign of spring, well captured. Very clear and sharp, I like the blurring of the bg. Regards, Jean

Hallo Peter!
A beautiful picture - and a hope giving one. Here we still have a lot of snow and all buds are closed. I like how you "silhouetted" this branch in front of the blurred background.
Greetings from Germany!

Hello, Peter.
Wonderful sharpness in that horse-chestnut sprig! And a lovely bokeh (as they say these days) in the background. Unusual for you, there's a bit of "noise" or grain in the softer parts - do you think that NeatImage might have managed to get rid of this? It's not at all intrusive, though.
A very nice picture with nice subdued colours in the background and vibrant Spring colours right before our eyes.
Excellent!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hello Peter,
spring is here hurrah! You have an excellent sharp image of the sticky horse chestnut bud. It looks good enough to eat! However, if you won't mind my saying I feel that despite the bokeh, the background still seems a little too busy. This lessens the impact of the thumnail.
regards
Bev
