Photographer’s Note

This is the famous Salisbury cathedral from my home town visited every year by thousands of tourists form all over the world.I took this photo in the autumn as you can see by the colours of the trees, i was out walking along the town path as it is called and i thought this would make a nice picture with the sheep in the foreground i hope you like it

hello Malcolm,
this is a postcard pretty English scene.You have captured a lovely light and autumn colours along with this famous spire. However, I would have preferred if compositionally you had used the rule of thirds. IMO the spire would have been better positioned one thirds across the frame.But I like this scene regardless as each element is clear to see in an uncluttered way. The spire and trees are distinct.

Welcome to TE.

I have stopped over in Salisbury a few times and loved the area. As Bev has said this really matches the typicel English postcard scene. I agree that the spire is rather centred, but I like how you have shot this across the open field and captured the free roaming sheep in the foreground.
