Photographer’s Note
This view is over the Wylie Valley at Burcombe, the river below is that featured in my previous post taken 4 hours earlier. CPL and -.67 ev used for this picture to cut through the mist a little. The yellow field is rapeseed from which vegetable oil is obtained.

Hmm .. don't know about this one Vic .. it is well exposed with great detail but seems to lack a focal point, I know there is a tree but that IMO is not special enough to carry this capture.I does seem a little too sharp as well .. Sorry mate.

I'm not so sure about including the poor bedragelled Sots pine, seems to be too much of a poor specimen for the shot. I might prefer it without the poor old pine. However I keep looking at it, no wonder its suffering , the farmer does not give it much space for its roots! Typical. You do have the land and sky nicely balanced and the difference in four hours! Best to get them early as the pollution has given a slight dirty brown tone to the blue sky.

Hi Vic!
Beautiful landscape with amazing tree accent, wondefull green and yellow colors and amazing air perspective. Very good composition.

Hi Vic, this is simple, eye-catching composition. There's a good balance to this photo, and I like the way the rows/furrows seem to lead the eye towards the lone tree. (I cannot agree with mickyg about this one.) Also a great blue/green/yellow colour combination. Good work!
Cheers

Quite a subtle image, the colours a little muted but I like the overall feel that this gives the shot - TFS :)

Some mixed views in the critiques here but I have to say I like this Vic. The colours on the crops (particularly the rapeseed) and the lines in them work well, and I like that tree.

Hi Vic,
This image really struck me in all sorts of ways that conflict with each other .. the yellow of the rape against that thoughtful windswept tree .. the misty sky .. really thoughtful scene .. well captured.
take care,
John

Vic, le format panoramique convient parfaitement à ce paysage tout en horizontales sauf pour l'arbre qui fait un excellent point d'accroche devant le champ de colza.

Hi Vic,
a well balanced shot here. Good details in the foreground and good compo too with the tree standing as a main subject. Excellent colours!
