Photographer’s Note
Taken just a yard or two from the site of this previously posted picture, I was attracted by the arrangement of the hand rails on the approach to the packhorse bridge, from the south-eastern side of the River Avon.
There is another photograph of this bridge, and more information about it here.
Taken as JPEG: PP in PS7 and FastStone.

hello Peter,
I like your POV here. I feel as if I am about to walk over the bridge. There is a nice soft light and like you I like the andrails too. Fascintaing notes abot this ancient bridge. On the river where I live (the Annan) in the old days before a bridge was built there was a woman who carried people across the river on her b akc (piggy back style). This picture does not demand attention as a thumbnail but I was rewarded once I had opened the picture.

Hello Peter,I like the POV for this one.I can see why you liked the handrails, they have interesting lines. The details of the stones of the bridge is good.I also like the water with its colour and reflections.
The links in your notes made good viewing,I had missed those particular shots.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hello Peter,
You have chosen an interesting pov to maximise the appreciation of the contrasting materials and rectangular shapes.
The puddles inform us about the depressions in this well worn pathway whilst the reflections and the water add a shimmering hint of blue.
Your notes always tell us so much about what you are photographing. This is a lesson to those who just stick up a shot and expect us to glean everything without help! Thank you!
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
