Photographer’s Note
This is another in the series of reflections of boats on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal which I took in February last year. The day was was very bright and very still - which gave very sharp reflections. I waited for some time for ducks to swim by and cause ripples in the otherwise mirror-like surface of the water to create these fantastic patterns. The image is rotated in order to emphasise the abstract quality even further.

Hi Maggie,
I remember this very beautiful series which you had made last year. This strange "curtain" which you present today is beautiful with very unusual colours for reflections in the water. I like very much this surprising movement.
Congratulations and best regards

Hello Maggie
You propose here a real abstract painting, it's superb !
You've waited for the right moment to get these ripples and obtain a funny effect. We don't really know what we are looking at, and that's great.
You've done a perfect post treatment work : saturation, contrast and sharpness... All is perfectly managed, congrats.
Very original composition, well done.

Hi, Maggie,
Technically superb, as always. Fascinating picture - there's something of the art of American Indians about it.
Best wishes,

Good evening Maggie
It's always good to see your compositions, and this ones excels in beauty. A perfect piece of abstract, well framed in excellent colors and long stripes. Just like a weaver's creation of a nice carpet.
Do have a lovely weekend and many thanks for the beautiful presentation
Argiris
With your permission I will add it to my gallery of reflections

Hello Maggie,
This looks like an American Indian woven pouch, complete with fringing! Or maybe an abstract artist fully inspired.
Whatever, it works for me!
I love the strong colours and the 'dragged' effect of the colours, tastefully framed.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Excellent work Maggie.
Even with the distortion your whereabouts are still evident;the colours of the barge give it away!
You were so lucky to see this wonderful example of reflections,I am quite envious!
Very well managed light.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Maggie!
I love reflections, you just commented my today`s post. And I love these distortions created by little waves and light.
Before reading your note I tried to recognize what this could be,a boat, maybe but I would never have recogniced that you rotated the image.Well done, I like the effect the bright colors and contrast.
Looks a bit like an abstract painting.
