Photographer’s Note
Taken on the moorland fells in Yorkshire, i love the moors, dark, desolate , anyway this is a new path thats part of whats called the Dales way it was new laid and fitted in with the moor surroundings like a square plug in a round hole but for mono the contrast was great, i set up the pod and waited for this runner to come into the frame, i wish i had taken it as he was closer to the lens but i didnt but hopefully shows the viewer the bleakness off this errie place in winter

Very nice shot, I like the choice of the B&W. The perspection given by the stones is really attractive and the light on them too.
Well done.

Great shot Martin and a great POV. I think B&W suits the image perfectly and I prefer the runner in the background rather than dominating the shot in the foreground.

Hi Martin,
Very nice image and great representation of the moors. Good tonal contrasts like this work very well in B&W.

I like the impact of the distant subject althought, it is a little too far for me. I would have zoomed a bit but tried to create an effect with your position, like lying on the ground for example. It's just me, but good work!

I actually think that the runner is in a perfect position Martin, no need to have him closer. This is a great shot, the path just screams to be photographed in vertical format. Very well done.

Hi Martin,
Lovely shot you have here. There is a real sense of solitude to the image which I am sure the lone runner felt. Very nice composition too. Looking forward to looking at more of your images.
Regards,
Paul
