A glimpse east from the pier in the seaside town of Worthing in West Sussex, England. In the workshop the colour version - as usual totally undecided as to which one I prefer.

Bonjour Brian, une photo intéressante avec une composition judicieuse et soignée, un très bon cadrage et bien sûr le N&B qui met la photo en valeur. Superbe photo.

This is a great B&W. Excellent POV, with the FG and the BG equally interesting.
Have a great day!

Hello Brian - I think both shots work equally well. So I guess it is a matter of preference, I always like a well managed B&W shot especially when there are areas of contrast, clean whites and black blacks. This fits the bill on both counts. Good tonal range and lovely textures and and an artistic composition.

Hi dear Brian
I really love this B&W. Superb wispy clouds and beautiful tight framing, which accentuates the curves and shapes of the architecture. The whites and blacks have contrasted superbly. Excellent work, thanks for sharing.

An interesting and creative B&W. I love all of the textures and shapes. Great cloud formation. Excellent depth.

I'm on the black and white side of the fence here, it has a lot more mystery. In fact when I looked at this first I thought that the fine wispy clouds were actually emanating from th big round thing (no idea what it is, do I'll just call it a big roundy thing). The textures of the sky and the wooden ground are very finely detailed too. An unexpected pier shot, but a beautiful result.
Thanks as always

Chacune des versions a son intérêt et j'ai bien du mal à choisir celle que je préfère. En tout cas, ton noir et blanc est très réussi.

Tough call on the two versions, both work...but I think I give the slight edge to this black & white. And that's coming from someone who loves so much of the color blue!? :)
The big rounded shape takes center stage in this shot, but to look closely at the supporting elements, you really understand what a masterful composition you've put together here.
Your B+W's aren't a staple in your collection, but when you put 'em out there, they always come strong. You sure have a great time playing on the pier, don't ya'? :) Great shot mate. Have a good one. Take it easy.
Cheers from the thrilled U.S. of A.,

Wonderful mono, Brian.
I like the POV. It gives me the sense of "vast".. nice detail. Beautiful light. Love the sky.
