This terraced row of period cottages is in Warwick Place in the seaside town of Worthing, West Sussex, England. Built in the 1830's they are Grade II listed properties with stuccoed walls and delightful boat porches, the latter being unique to Worthing. The character of the buildings is not diminished by the wires and aerials of modern life sitting amongst the bright red chimney pots.

Hello BRian ,
These white house are very picturesque . Excellent perspective , perfect zxposure and contrasts . I like the good saturation of the red chimneys against the beautiful blue sky .

Hello Brian - Pretty little cottages each with a mark of individual ownership. Your use of saturation adds brilliant colour splashes to a well composed shot. Those boat porches are super aren't they? Take care Rosemary

bella questa lunga prospettiva con le case bianche e i comignoli rossi.
Ottima la definizione e il contrasto che crea la luce,

Beautiful and very pleasant-looking picture!
The details of the chimneys are so special to the overall attractive visual results of this photograph! Wires, usually not welcome in images, look quite good here!
TFS - congrats,

Fantastic warm cold color contrasts between the red chimney pots & the blue sky. Good sharpness & perspective with all lines converging from right to left & the oblique line of the street adding dynamism. Tfs!

Cette photo est très bien composée, et montre nombreux détails de l'architecture de ces maisons.
Belle lumière également

What pretty cottages, so very English and taken in a lovely light. The long shadows bring out the relief of the sills and the porches. A well chosen pov creates a strong f/g triangle and gives converging lines for both guidance and perspective.
One person like to stand out from the crowd ... just one pastel pink example!
Have a great day,

Yes, I agree - these overhead wires certainly do not detract from this picture at all: in fact they almost certainly add to the composition in this case. Totally different to the higgledy-piggledy confusion of overhead wires we are used to seeing in Mediterranean countries and which we are always at pains to avoid in our photographs.
And, of course, your composition is excellent, the diagonal line of the kerb (accentuated by the double yellow lines) making a fine foundation, the diminishing roofline of the terrace of houses - and the wires - adding to the perspective. I love the dappled shadows on the road in the foreground. The colours are vibrant and the exposure and sharpness perfect.

sometimes I forget how pretty home (england) is. The little cottages could be wedgwood with their pale blue boat porches. Well composed with a great POV

Très belle lumière sur les façades blanches, bon POV, perspective et le contraste sensationnelle des cheminée rouge avec le bleu profond du ciel, magnifique

very charming capture, I like very much these little townhouses glued together. The door is a nice repeated element. Very pleasant light as well which emphasizes the rough surface of the walls. Nice ink-colored sky too.
Very well done,
