Late afternoon sunlight caresses the sand and sea in the tidal lagoon behind East Head in West Wittering, West Sussex, England. A lone yacht sits calmly on the waters as the tide slowly begins to ebb away from the beach.

I find your picture very nice, maybe one advice, I would above a little bit cropped for 1/3 sky, this would are technical perfect, but I like your picture on these way too. .
I can real enjoy through your excellent angle this gives depth and perspective.
Composition and presentation are superb.

la laguna è uno dei miei soggetti preferiti per la varietà di situazione che si possono trovare in essa e per la variabilità con le ore del giorno.
Questa che tu proponi oggi - a me del tutto sconosciuta - è straordinaria per l'ambiente naturale che tu hai saputo cogliere ottimamente in un momento di bassa marea e con un cielo blu che riempe la scenaanche con i suoi spettacolari riflessi.

Fabulous shot Brian! The composition is simple and uncluttered allowing the details to come to the fore. Beautiful light; I love the way it picks out the boat, textures in the wet sand and the underside of the clouds. Lots of movement in the clouds and across the water show the landscape as a living entity with moods and constantly changing details. Top class work and the type of shot I really enjoy. Hello Brian,

This day last month must have been a particularly lucrative one for you - at least from the photographic point of view. Just like your last shot taken this day, the low angle, warm late afternoon sun has blessed the whole scene with the most delicious light. Not only the wet sand with its little pools, but even the clouds in the sky which are beautifully reflected on the calm water.

Your composition is excellent, the curving shoreline giving a fine "lead in" to the shot and the lone yacht perfectly placed. Gorgeous colours and light, perfect exposure and stunning detail and sharpness.

You're a rebel Brian, you broke the rule of thirds! haha It's all in the eye of the beholder, and for me this works without any hesitation! I think that if the sky wasn't as dramatic, then it would be less impactful...but there's a lot to enjoy with its lighting, color and cloud formations. It fills the space nicely and converges perfectly to the sailboat. I particularly like how the natural foreground characteristic changes from the transparent sea floor to the solid, rippled water surface in a diagonal fashion. A great shot in a long series of fine images. Keep them coming!

Très belle photo. Ton cadrage vertical 50/50 me convient bien tant chaque partie (ciel et plage) mérite l'attention. Une belle lumière qui donne une superbe palette de couleurs à l'image.

lovely in its simplicity - the sand structure in the foreground is engaging enough to make the whole image, but the lonely boat in the distance finishes off the picture masterly. Great sky and colors.

Hello Brian,
You take seemingly empty landscapes and tun them into works of art by your clever use of light and colour. The detail shown is wonderful demonstrating that it is not empty with an array of textures, shapes and subtle color changes.
