Hello Brian,

This is the sort of shot that needs recording as a memory of the weather conditions of 2012. It is easy to forget how the land suffered.

Having said that, what a fine opportunity for reflections! We don't usually get such beautiful reflections on a beach! Your viewpoint uses the receding line of huts to perfection, producing a great sense of perspective. The shot has great clarity and is well saturated.

La presenza dell'acqua rende la composizione ancor più vivace. I colori molto saturi e brillanti sono stupendi. La nitidezza eccellente concorre a fare di questa composizione un sicuro successo.

Whoever thought a flood could be so beautiful! This is such a wonderful scene, the beach huts by themselves make a really wonderful scene, but the fact that it is doubled with the fine reflection is a real added bonus. A beautiful sky against which it is presented too.

Hello Brian,

This flooding might be considered to be a disaster by the owners of these beach huts but to you as a photographer it is a godsend!

Despite having taken this in early afternoon (thanks for the exif data!) in February, you have caught the most amazingly interesting blue sky with lovely puffy clouds and this makes a fine backdrop to the row of different coloured huts as well as ehancing the reflections of them in the smooth water in the distance. The strong sunlight on the "faces" of the huts enhances their colours even more.

Excellent composition, lovely light, perfect exposure, gorgeous vibrant colours and exquisite detail and sharpness.

As always a great composition exhibiting sharpness, clarity colour and great vibrant colours.

I can't imagine why Tyro thinks the owners might think of this as a disaster. If you build a hut on the beach expect the tide to come in at some point!

The British climate is always sunny in your pictures,and that is also one of your strong points,I think its a matter of good timing,same like the dutch weather.
Keep your camera always in the pocket,for the best results....

Hi Brian,

I'm sure this is a great shot even without the reflection, but the flooding has definitely enhanced the scene and created that symmetrical type of appearance. You have a great handle over light and color, everything is bright and bold but in no way overpowering. I like the clouds appearing to hover over the huts, as if to say "clear for now, but don't get to comfortable!" :) It's cliché, but I'll say it anyway...beautiful!

the clouds help to soften the image a bit, and again, the colors steal the show.

The huts are really colourful and the flood gave you the chance to get a great reflection. Seems all the huts are different here:)! A very good shot! I like the diagonal and the light and colours are perfect! - well done!
