Photographer's Note
Well not quite, but the wilds of West Wittering Beach in West Sussex, England. The beach huts here are numerous, quite large and do have a strange "wild-west" atmosphere about them. Winter winds have piled up the sand around them making them look a lot like a film set from an old Hollywood western.

Hi brian
Amazing light here ;) The low POV and wide angle is very useful here to enhance this composition
Very well done ;)

Hi Brian
Really good idea to photograph beach huts in winter. I really like the "sand drifts" around the huts.
As always, great light management and composition.
Have a nice day

Hello Brian,
It looks in need of some TLC this weather beaten beach hut, but then again that's what makes it such an interesting subject for the photographer. I like the symmetrical viewpoint and the light across the golden sands. Also, the interesting play of light across the façade. Very good rendering of the tones and textures.

Hello Brian,
These beach huts certainly do not look quite so smart, well cared for and freshly painted as most which we have become accustomed to seeing in your gallery. No bright, almost wet, paint but peeling paint and decaying wood presumably due to battering from the winter wind and rain.
Your title too is very appropriate - I could just imagine Gary Cooper or John Wayne riding along in front of the buildings in this "ghost town"!
Again, your capture of the lovely oblique lighting is stunning as it gives the picture an amazing depth. Gorgeous vibrant colours, lovely light, perfect exposure and, as always, exquisite details and sharpness.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Ciao Brian
Ciao e buona giornata

Hello Brian,
I love these colors and their clarity as well as great sharpness of the picture. The composition is quite attention capturing with bright huts contrasting against the sand and sky.

Hi Brian,
I do like the fact that you focus in on the the more rustic one with the peeling paint, make it more interesting photo than newly painted hut, therefore gives a more wild feeling :) I love how the blue and white strip have very much the same colors as the sky and cloud too, a happy coincidence. Good quality as always, and I like the big sky. I might have crop more off the foreground full of footprints.

Cette cabane bicolore est un beau sujet photographique que tu as bien exploité. La lumière contribue à la beauté de l'image. Je me demande si tu n'aurais pas dû cadrer uniquement la cabane centrale dans une composition verticale?

Hi Brian!
The sky is really beautiful here and you captured a very special winter atmosphere - looks like an abandoned place, with the sand around and the hut losing the colours. A good composition with the old one in the middle.
