Photographer's Note

A dry and sunny day at last, and a soggy view of the ancient bridge that crosses the River Arun at Stopham in West Sussex, England. A Grade I listed monument that has spanned the river since 1432. The waters have only just started to recede after the storms of the past few weeks, but you can see clearly how high the waters reached by the greenish tide mark that is almost at the top of the bridge. The lovely old White Hart pub just out of shot to the right, was badly flooded though and is obviously closed whilst the clean up progresses.
