Oh, dear. For the last couple of years I have gone out around April time in search of woodland patches of bluebells like this. And I've found them and I've photographed some too. But never, ever, have I managed to take a photograph which comes anywhere near to your stunning photographs of them - I just end up with trees and grassland in which the bluebells (though they looked impressive to me when I saw them) can barely be seen and certainly do not stand out with the remarkable "zing" which they do in your shots. What am I doing wrong?
Well, that's something for me to ponder and, while I do so, I shall continue to admire your photographs.
The lovely oblique lighting has given some lovely variegated light on this wonderful sweep of bluebells and the colours of the flowers stand out beautifully, not only against the green of the grass but also against the deep golden background of the forest.
Gorgeous light and colours and exquisite details throughout.

Hello Brian - I never tire of woodland shots and when the bluebells carpet the floor the scenes become irresistible. This is dream shot, the atmosphere of this special time of year is palpable. Light, colours and composition work seamlessly together. Beautiful

A very impressive composition. The patches of light and shade on the forest floor and through the trees are what makes this image jump out of the screen. The angle of your shot seems just right to concentrate the colour of the bluebells in the image. The inclusion of the stack of branches on the left provide a hint of man's intrusion here.

a very beautiful natural scenery that fills the viewer with peace and delight. You made excellent use of the characteristics of this pure and fresh scenery, your colour management is superb. The robust trunk solidifies the composition and allows for a magnificent play of details, colours, light and shadows around it. The depth and the amount of details are very rewarding, the atmosphere is exquisite. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,

Incredible visual effect of those flowers. It looks so unreal. Well taken, great warm sunlight also.
Have a fine evening.

This is beautiful, really so. The bluebells themselves are of course magical, but to have these lines of light and shadow falling over them to compliment the strong verticals of the trees is just super cool. Excellent detail on the flowers too, especially considering you got such goo depth and detail in the background.
Where on earth do you find clumps of bluebells like this, the ones I found that I shot was a very small patch, and nothing of the majesty of this place.
Thanks as always for sharing

I do enjoy this, the light has been handled ever so well with the dappled patches giving the image a nice depth, the warm colours of the trees are simply gorgeous.
All the best Les.
