Summer has arrived on the pebble beach in Shoreham-by-sea, West Sussex, England. Blue skies over the little beached fishing boat which is surrounded by a sea of blossom.

The low point of view is perfect to see a colorful foreground and the boat in the background.
The sky is beautiful, with the thin white clouds.

I like the composition with all those lovely colourful pebbles and flowers, standing out superbly against the exquisite blue sky. The boat is a well placed focal point in this scene. The strong colours, the perfect clarity and sharpness make this one a success. Top quality as always.
Have a great weekend.

This is attractive Brian. The sea of flowers makes a vivid display and I particularly like the way the boat is perched on the shingle and projected against the brilliant sky. A super viewpoint.
Have a sunny weekend.

I like the low viewpoint which has emphasised the amazing array of flowers and pebbles. The boat and the fence suitably break up the skyline. A very vivid and attractive beach scene.
Kind Regards, Ann
p.s. went to Littlehampton yesterday in the blazing sunshine and was amazed how it has improved in recent years.

a really pleasant sea of blossom is this we see in the photo. The brilliant light and colour management and the existance of the boat on the backdrop of the image make it even more effective.
Have a good weekend,Danos

Flowers on a beach, now that's something I don't see often! In fact the only time I ever saw a display like this was a deliberately created display on a roundabout sponsored by a local shop, so really cool that you found this in real life.
It seems that the flowers are all craning to get a better look at the boat too, almost like they are at a concert and the boat is performing. The pebbles have the beautiful colors of an aquarium. Very cool scene.
thanks as always
P.S. Thanks for your comments and notes on my shots too, its really a pleasure to read them, and an honor to know that you like some of my work. Cheers!

Usually boats are surrounded by water or sand :)
And your boat is surrounded by flowers. Original photo with beautiful combination of colors, very well spotted and captured

Row, row, row your boat...well, maybe not...at least not over the rocks anyway!? "Summer has arrived," I used to look forward to that saying, and now....I dread it unfortunately. This looks to be much more pleasant, and certainly a LOT more colorful that what I see day in and day out. Not that far removed from Vegas, I'm still in a 'trading' mood...what do you say, some of this beauty for a few cacti and tumbleweeds? :) I've already sent some Noels way, but there's and endless supply here as you know.
Surrounded by a sea of blossom, I also get the impression there's another sea that lies just over the horizon, just begging for this boat to make a sail. Exquisite light and color as always, you sure know how to turn it up a notch. Love the placement of the boat in this setting, makes for a strong centerpiece. I wish you a bounty of summer days just like this one mate. Enjoy the rest of the weekend. Take it easy.
Cheers from Feenix,

Très joli titre caractérisant bien cette très bonne photo merveilleusement composée et colorée.

An intriguing shot!
At first glance, the boat seems to be floating in the sky sea!
I love your low viewpoint, capturing the images of pebbles and flowers, each with their own colours and textures, as a very pleasing introduction to the scene.
Have a great day,
ourania (27060) 2014-06-08 4:50
composition and title work wonderfully together, this scene is lovely, amusing and memorable. Your decision to divide the frame in half and place the main subject at the centre was bold, your exceptional compositions are always distinct and appealing. The boat really stands out also with its perspective, sharpness and colours. I like very much how the deep, colourful and busy lower half leads to the lovely blue, exquisitely smooth sky. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,

This image shouts summer and the title is very suitable indeed. Well-chosen low POV makes it look as if the boat were floating in the flowers. Great combination of warm and cold colours.
Have a nice day

beautiful staging on this boat with a first plane and rich colors beautifully rendered.
delpeoples (52729) 2014-06-12 4:55
I think I recognise that beautiful boat, but definitely the wildflowers are a newie and so beautiful. Living by the sea, it's difficult to get anything to grow, so it's quite wonderful to see such colour and profusion growing unchecked. And such a beautiful complement to the wonderful old boat. Top shot as usual.
PS: Thanks so much for your support on the Leard Forest. Yes, it might be a battle that cannot be won, but Big Mines, particularly coal mines are already starting to show signs of inevitable defeat. When and at what cost, makes me shudder. The only answer is to divest from fossil fuels.

Beautiful and so colourful! The flowers really add a lot and your low pov is perfect.
Another good quality shot, with great colours!
