Good Morning Brian,
The moon, surrounded by boat and flags, makes a strong feature especially with the vivid f/g colours contrasted against the pale, pastel shades of the b/g.
I love the strength of the textures on the boat.
I might have been tempted to crop the shot further, from the left to place the moon right on the thirds line. It also brings the boat even closer!I won't do a w/s as you know perfectly well how to crop!
Have a great we,
Yes, it's raining again!!

wow! A very good minimal composition here dear Brian. Love your SM 2 with nicely positioned sun visible through it. Superb one. Tfs.

Big smily head on me looking at this. :D
What a cool shot, like a scene from a film. Vibrant powerful red tones gives the sense that somebody really loves this boat, even her name is written with great care and attention. I don't know what the black flags mean but they are such an incredible element to the overall result. The moon is a magical element, and the tones and colors around the lower part of the scene are superb. It seems this vessel is floating on a sea of mist. Love this, really love this.
And your manipulated version is incredible too! When you say manipulated, am I right to think that the reflection is not real? Its brilliantly done.
All the best

Interesting scene for the front on view of the red fishing boat with unusual flags, then the full moon backdrop.
PS: I have been experiencing lots of internet delays recently, especially with Trek Earth. It usually helps to log oompletely out of TE and off the internet, then try again. I also have been busy with frequent virus scanning to try and protect my computer.

Great - anything further to say would be superfluous!

Brian, this is a nicely-planned shot of a completely full moon. Great exposure, leaving the flags completely black against a gray sky. Too bad there isn't more color in the sky, but I suppose it can't be helped.

Beau plan rapproché de cette embarcation aux couleurs contrastantes. La présence de la lune est un plus à la composition. Très belle image.

Very well composed shot, I can see you walking around trying to find just the perfect spot and wait for the wind to pick up the flag just right but not too much to cover up the moon. A very well thought out composition and perfectly executed shot. Love the color and details throughout. I might have cropped away the extra space to the left.
I looked at the simulated version of the reflection. Very good effect.

Hello Brian - It's interesting to read the comments about the crop on this one. To be honest I think the balance is a tad out but having looked at the other version I can see why. I wonder why you didn't post that one, to my mind it is exceptional and a far more creative image. My 2 points are for the 500px image which I love.

La lune est superbement placé dans la compo et d'une grande netteté tout comme la barque (bravo pour la profondeur de champ). Très bonne photo (je la préfère à la version avec les faux reflets)

I really like the composition with the full moon here. Nice crop allowing for some negative space on the left. The manipulated version is lovely too.

How's it going my good man? Looking at this in comparison to your previous, there's a distinctly romantic mood over this shot with the inclusion of the moon...I'm sure this makes Jo-Anna feel a lot less lonely out here all by herself. :)
What fantastic light too, accenting the boats curves...and well, I'll stop before getting myself into hot water with the ladies. hehe Love the flutter of the black flags, which oddly enough for this scene, look very "piratey" in contrast to the soothing atmosphere. You've certainly made the most out of your proximity to the sea, these old relics have been given new life and resurrected charm through your handy work. Beautifully presented with an air of nostalgia. Now get off the beaches before law enforcement finds you to be too creepy trolling around with camera in hand. ;) Have a good one mate. Take it easy.
Cheers from across the big blue,
Cool result with the other version from your link, quite surreal!
