Photographer's Note
This old cabin cruiser has seen better days as it lies beached on the River Adur estuary in Shoreham-by-sea, West Sussex, England. The red paint on the hull barely visible as the green weed takes a hold due to the boat being fully submerged at each high tide.

Hello Brian,it does seem a shame that what was once someones pride and joy has come to this sad state, however it has made a fine photographic subject for you, with the saturated colours standing out nicely against the leaden sky.
All the best Les.

Hello Brian
I echo Les's sentiments. And the hull has a rather nice shape: much better looking than most modern motorboats. Sad portrait: makes me realise that all the time I've spent recently crawling about under my boat doing the yearly antifoul is after all worth the effort...

Hi Brian
well seen and captured, wonder why it was left to rot. Nevermind, will make a nice canvas for many photographers I guess. Good composition

Hello

Ciao e buona serata
Romano

Hello Brian
Now I really like this - very well spotted and composed. The contrast between the green and red really make this work along with the crop. Red and green were the colours of my old school tie! This is a real eye catcher with that vivid red.

Joli cadrage de ce bateau abandonné. Les algues vertes laissées par les marées contrastent de jolie façon avec le reste de peinture rouge de la coque. J'aime aussi les tons de l'image.

Hello Brian
a boat with lots of character and charm that has definitively seen better days. The contrast between the red paint and the lush green of the seaweeds is very attractive. Truly a lovely scene with a great history indeed.
have a good day

Hello Brian,
This reminds me of decrepit old fishing boats in South Korea. But this one is in better shape. The green seaweed & algae contrast well against the red painted prow. Good sharpness and a pleasant diffused light. I like the additional smooth blue sky, which also contrasts well against the red. Tfs!

Hello Brian ,
Thiis old boat covered by the green seaweeds is a superb subject . The soft light and the grey sky create here an excellent effect .

Hi Brian,
the grey sky didn´t help you,but you were anyway able to bring out the best out of this scene. This old and I assume deserted boat has some kind of charm and beauty in itself. And you´re right the splash of red color on the boat´s bow brings eye-catching contrast to the scene.Excellently noticed and executed scene.
Kind regards

Hi Brian!
Good shot, with good focus! I like the composition and the PP - the colours are very good, specially the combination of red and green in the foreground. The seaweed really make the difference here! Good work!
