Winter's Chill, a photo from West Sussex, England

Photographer's Note

Snow covers the gravestones in the churchyard of St Nicolas’ Church in Shoreham-by-sea, West Sussex, England. This old Celtic cross stands slightly awry and is some 2 meters or more high and has not escaped a dusting of snow. Since its revival in the 1850s, the Celtic cross has been used extensively as grave markers and can be found in graveyards all over the United Kingdom.

questa a mio parere è tra le tue più belle per la serenità che traspare da questa bella composizione.
Molto belli i colori che si avvalgono di sfumature molto delicate alle quali contribuiscono una ripresa tecnicamente perfetta nella quale lumonosità e nitidezza prevalgono.
Anche il contrasto è perfetto

Hello Brian,
as I see you´ve changed completely the climate.But even in this cold and snowy environment you were able to emphasize this soft light and utilize it to create unique mood.Old cemeteries can be very photogenic and I can only say your vision of this scene appeals to me much.

It even feel colder considering the sitting--the cemetery. Very moving capture of those grave markers covered with snow. Good pov and dof with nice details. Very well done, tfs.

Hello Brian,
An interesting change from your usual. The tilt on the central gravestone makes this picture for me - otherwise it might have been too central. The line of bare trees frame the graveyard very well. I really like the blanket of snow. A gentle image that I will remember.
