One of the many tidal lagoons on the western bank of the River Arun in Littlehampton, West Sussex, England. The river here is a haven for yachts and ship yards, as well as being the chosen moorings for the fisherman's boats. The eastern side of the river is however built up with stylish apartments and houses.

Good morning Brian,
This is a beautiful and perfectly and pleasingly composed shot of the muddy creek at Littlehampton. The light and colours are divine and the depth of field and sharpness are exquisite with everything in perfect focus from the nearest grasses to the distant buildings. A beautiful shot!
P.S. Interestingly, I had realised that the "new" version of TE was now reducing all pictures (including those at the previous limit of 800 pixels wide)to only 790 pixels wide and I thought that was the reason for the apparent reduction in image quality. But that would not appear to be the case here - this picture has not been reduced in size at all as its original size is 533 x 800 and yet its quality seems much poorer than when viewed on the "beta" TE site. I'm not sure quite what's going on. But I do now see that the "beta" site is also now being plagued with pop-up advertisements too!

A very apt title for this capture. I like the point of view and the use of the vertical format; together they draw the viewer into the scene and guide them through the frame from bottom to top. Very attractive light and reflections. Lovely warm colours and good sharpness.

une belle composition mise en valeur par de jolis reflets sur l'eau. Les couleurs et la luminosité sont superbes.

very attractive composition, you have well includes so many interesting elements here and combined them together. The reflection is probably the highlight. It is great to have the patch of blue color in the middle of the muddy water. And the reflection od 100% with the wooden elements interestingly doubled in the mirror. Great processing to emphasize the details and yet keeping it so natural. Interesting mood enhanced by the clouds approaching.

Une très jolie composition, la lumière et les couleurs sont belles, mais ce qui la rend encore plus attirante c'est avec les reflets, très jolie

The reflections in your photograph are quite amazing; we have a combination of sandy streaks, wooden constructions, the sky and clouds and the most detailed boats. I have really enjoyed perusing all the details.
As always, you have given us a delightful composition, which guides effortlessly from f/g to b/g.
Have a great day,

Very beautifully captured image, Brian.
I especially like the sky reflection on the water.

A very appealing composition. A nice balance of structural details, colours and reflections. The old boat propped up in the centre stands out as the main focal point upon which the eye comes to rest.

Ciao dear Brian
I can imagine you'd be like a kid in a lolly shop in a place like this. There would be endless photographic possibilities here. I love the vertical frame, so many would have gone for the landscape format. The reflections and the dominant blue tones are so striking, as are the textures of the wooden piers and posts. Excellent work as usual, thanks for sharing.
Have a great weekend
