Wendy Ann 2 moored in a muddy cutting on the River Arun at Littlehampton, West Sussex, England. Built in Yarwood, Cheshire in 1939 she served as a tug towing ammunition barges for the Admiralty until the early 1950's, when she was retired and then used as a harbour tug in Poole, Dorset. Rescued from the breakers yard in 2005 she now languishes on the river, undergoing loving restoration.

Excellent ship close-up photo with very nice colors, perfect light, very good clarity; superb reflections The well-chosen tight crop eliminates all unwanted distractions.
Wish you a very nice rest of the week.

Interesting, attractive and pleasant-looking picture!
Special regards to the management of light, (very beautiful saturated) colors and composition!
In addition to the details of that ship, the façades of those buildings in the background really caught my attention!
TFS - congrats,

My neighbour to the left.
A perfect composition with the interesting foreground of vegetation, decaying poles and the complex of reflections as a lead in to the boat. Nice to know that the boat is being restored.

Good view of a old ship. Very attractive framing with the decaying poles and the grass. Your signature light is also adding to the beauty of this composition. Nice attractive photo, with excellent light and vivid colours. Thanks for sharing.

A very nice capture, great clarity and colours with super reflections. Taken from a good POV with the old jetty in the fore ground.

Wendy Ann 2 is an attractive little boat, her small wooden wheel house makes a lovely detail uniting the colours of the broken wooden pilings and distant brick built buildings Brian. Your composition with vertical presentation works well here. A pity that you couldn't achieve some separation between the lovely reflections and the pilings but you would have needed a step ladder in order to manage that I think! A super shot made all the more so because of the lovely light. Warm regards rosemary

Today, water that is intended to be where it is!
This is a great viewpoint with strong f/g textures leading the way to the reflections and this proud boat. It does look well cared for, quite spick and span! The colours are warm, the details are sharp and there is little suggestion of the recent storms.
Is that a wind gauge on the back?
I can't help perceiving it as a large star in the sky!!
My warm regards,

Hello Brian ,
I do like the use of the light on the railings in the FG as an introduction to Wendy Ann,she does appear as a craft with real character.
The luminous colours are really appealing.

what a composition here. Like the picturesque presentation which is rich with vibrant colours and its depth is just endless. You can show the submerged wooden structures to the huts at background tac sharp. Enjoyed the reflection too. Brilliant work. Tfs.

Hello, excellent photo of the tug with beautiful colors and perfect layout. Nice details in the foreground.
You chose a great spot for wonderful perspective and the reflection in the water adds another dimension to the image.

Beautiful afternoon light gave a golden tone on the wooden poles in water, Brian.
A well chosen POV, with a nice reflection over the brown water, only on far side - there is a real mirror with the houses along the promenade.
The anchored boat by itself prominently on pic. space, in super clear view on. Charming and impressive photojob done.

il Sussex è una miniera infinita di bei soggetti che sei bravissimo nel cogliere e valorizzare al meglio.
Un'altra straordinaria cattura dai colori e dalla composizione particolarmente efficaci.
Ciao e buona serata

As usual, the colors are very nice!
The vertical format is a very good choice. The composition is dynamic, I like it.

Very beautiful light and nice reflections. Sharpness and colours are excellent too.

How are you my good man? Call me crazy, and you wouldn't be the only one to do so...but the first thing I thought I saw along side of this old boat were lines of prayer flags, the ones we see strewn across the mountains that are posted here on TE from time to time. I know, it makes no sense!?
Putting my goofy imagination aside, this is a real beauty...so much color, light, and textures...oh my! The blackened hull couldn't be better for contrast, and essentially a centerpiece in this composition, everything has come together quite nicely here. Muddy waters or not, the reflection is clear and smooth. Take 'er out...well, on second thought...nah! Enjoy the day ahead.
81f/27c today, did old man winter take a complete leave of absence?? Has he been spotted in your neck of the woods?

Wendy Ann looks really beautiful here!
The perspective you´ve chosen, but also the combination of so delightful light and colors makes the composition spectacular. And I have to say I like also the background-those buildings make superb backdrop for the ship.
Have a nice day
