A view of Nymans House in the 600 acres of gardens that surround the property at Handcross in West Sussex, England. Now owned by the English National Trust and open to the public, the house was extensively damaged by fire in 1947 and the south east facing side of the house is just a shell, having never been rebuilt.

Colour, light and contrast excellent, good together in a successful picture.

These old houses are great subjects for photographs, with their random stone walls and unusual shapes; and you have certainly done this one justice. There is a fine lead, with lawns like a delicious entrée, before we focus on the main building. It is very well positioned in the frame, almost on a diagonal, sharp, with strong colours.
Have a good day,
Off for our annual photographers get-together, tomorrow!

The T formed by the paths adds a touch of graphism to the composition and supplies an excellent lead-line towards the house. Pleasing warm light and superb colour contrasts. Very good rendering of the textural detail in the architecture.

A beautiful English country house Brian shown to perfection with an attractive and revealing composition and your usual attention to detail.
I am invited to walk into the garden and look around.

It's really nice to see this house in its entirety, your previous posts have been tantalising showing parts a(the ruined part sticks in my memory as I love ruins so much). You captured this under absolutely perfect light. Bringing really rich colors and superb detail in the brickwork which speaks of the age of this place. Beautiful choice of view on this old house, the path is great leading into it. A true chocolate box house.
All the best

A well structured image of this architecture with lovely rich colours and a perfect sky as backdrop. A pity about the state of the building on the SE side.

cette demeure typiquement anglaise est digne d'un épisode d'Agatha Christie .

The composition is good, the path driving the eye toward the castle. And these clouds in the sky are really nice.

beautiful house nicely decorated with green vegetation. Great presentation with so much color. The entrance path makes a nice point here. Wonderful processing emphasizing colors and details especially clouds.

after some time off TE I will have to catch up will loads of lovely pictures :-) This one shows really pretty house and I just love this style. Is there anybody still living there? This place is like straight from the Bronte novels. Good POV which included small path leading an eye towards the house and very good colors, bright and nicely saturated.
Thanks for sharing and all the best
