Second Church of Christ Scientist built 1848-49 by J.R. Botham was originally a Presbyterian church. It is a big landmark on Broad Street in Birmingham. Today this church is a night club.

Bonjour Achim,
un POV bien pensé qui nous fait profiter des deux façades.Un bien joli ciel au-dessus des bâtiments.
Dommage pour cette distorsion de perspective.

The street is helping to frame the building. The point of view is showing a double perspective of the architecture of the building. The late morning light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

The dark building against the lighter sky bg adds a good graphic element. Excellent sharpness & a nice angled pov on the old building and tower, with a subtle contrast against the newer, blander bg building at right. I like the punchy light contrasts & image density looks about perfect. Tfs!

Hallo Achim,
very interesting piece of architecture. Photographed at the pleasant sunny weather which provided attractive colors. I don't recall seeing ever much from this city although it is as far as I know the second largest in this country. So it is a very valuable photo, TFS

Good Morning Achim,

It is interesting to see that the older, more decorative buildings are left, itegrated with the modern structures.
Your angle makes a good guide and produces a fine sense of depth and perspective. The details are sharp and the dark grey of the tower stands out well against the pale blue sky.

Bonjour, cher ami Achim,
Les édifices religieux ont tendance à voir leur affectation changer, c'est curieux, voire étrange ! Il faut reconnaître que l'entretien de ces bâtiments sont coûteux.
Un cadrage très réussi, pas d'éléments perturbateurs.
Quant au night club, c'est amusant !
Très bonne réalisation.

This is a nice shot of the fine building that has had many uses. The angle of the shot works nicely adding depth to the shot. The lighting is great as is the photo's sharpness.

Typical building of the reformed church in Britain, with its austere style in black bricks.
Ironical that it should have become a night-club now :-)
