[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I do not expect that this will be a popular image. TE is largely about the celebration of life, and I love it for that.
What I am showing here is that the photographers eye is always open to the whole experience of life, in this case, death.
I am drawn to graveyards as they always have a sense of peace.
This is one of a number of shots I took in the London Road cemetary in Coventry.
There are many 'tokens' placed on graves which have meaning to the living for the dead. The sadness of this gesture is hopefully summed up by this picture.

I just had to comment on this one as well:)
It is very beautiful, you have a fantastic eye for details, and the setup with the cross leaning in over the scene works very well.
I like the sepia, but I'm not too sure about the frame though.
Harry

I can see what attracted you - it's hard not to be touched by this sad teddy. He really looks grieved, his eyes staring at the cross, enduring the loss of a beloved one who will never return.

Kind regards,

Natalia

Well.... the composition is quite perfect, based on the theme you choose. I like it anyways. Tibo

Like Harry, I like the sepia. The frame I'm not sure. The more I look at it, the more unsure I become. Different idea.

I like the picture. Didn't know people would leave a teddy bear on a grave like that...

Hi Martin,
I like it, a nice different photograph. A sad image with great deatails. Sepia tone has worked well to create a lonely and sad mood for the image. Well seen.

I do agree with you, life is not just colours and joy, it is also sorrow...and your sad, delicate and moving picture is a good way to reflect about true life dramas

Bonsoir Martin,
This pictures in sepia, for me, is very sad, but in the same time it's very beautiful, you can't be insensitive : life with this teddy and dead with the cross.
