Photographer’s Note

After four weeks in the U.K. I have returned with some photographs. This was taken on rather a dull day, hence the grey skies. This part of the castle was built in 1068 on the orders of William the Conqueror and was a good vantage point from which to view the surrounding countryside. The castle itself is quite large and a good state of repair. I was there during the "Horrible Happenings" week, and saw several re-enactments of archery and swordplay.
