Photographer’s Note
While I do not like long northern winters, one advantage is that sunrise becomes later by the week and makes its photography more practical.
Today, at the cliff top north of Whitley Bay at around 08.42 the sun nearly appeared before it rose behind a bank of cloud which masked its brilliant colours.
Within three minutes of this picture all there remained was a 'November' shade of grey, and a very cold photographer heading back for a warm coffee.

Wonderful light. The lighthouse is well placed in this scene and it is enhanced by the warm light of the sky behind it.
