Marsden Rock, Stands in the heart of one of the most attractive stretches of the North East coast. One of the most magnificent rock formations in Britain, Marsden Rock is renowned for it's sea bird colonies, with thousands of pairs of Kittiwakes, Fulmars, Gulls and Cormorants.

down the elevator to the grotto
1959..
good lighting and a note tells me its not all just holidaymaking
you have used dramatic lighting to accentuate the colours of the rock and surrounding rocks
the sky does a good thing by being well in the background

Hi Fara
Lovely view of this spectacular scenery. I like the way the cliffs stretch towards the background and the way the dark clouds and light stone compliment each other. The rain in the back groud adds a dramatic effect. It's just lacking a bit of punch (contrast and sharpness) so I did a workshop for you.

Your composition is fine here using the coastline to create a diagonal through the shot. The lighting and colors are amazing with outstanding sharpness and DOF. The clouded sky provides a nice backdrop for this dynamic scene.

I think about this composition deserves more critics.
Very interesting spotlights on the rocks.
Its a very nice place for birds photo hunting but I don't have the special material until now.
