The sense of determination on an athlete's face always makes for a good image, and this is no exception.
Paralympic Gold Medallist Danny Crates had announced his decision to retire a few weeks before the UK Grand Prix athletics in 2009, and this event was to be his last.
Here, as he rounded the last corner of his 800m T46 event, his focus is as much on the race as anyone's.

hello Richard,
the composition makes or a good dynamic with the runner leaning into the frame from bottom left.Pity about the yellow Seiko thing and the sharpness.I think you could have amped up the contrast too. But I like the background and white lines.
