Buses - in London you wait for 1 and then 10 come along.
You get on and no one is talking. If you are lucky you get a seat by yourself, and not someone who smells. You might listen to your ipod, or personal stereo. Check your mobile phone and send a text message. Or simply stare out the window at the grey outside world and wait until you reach your stop to get off and breath a breath of fresh air.

to me - this photo is lyric... it tells the story of the city and would perfectly illustrate one of those music albums of the uk rock bands of the 1980's... del amitri would be a perfect choice, imo - with "nothing ever happens"...

I like this snatched shot.It gives a sense of time and place and of movement. The boy daydreams his journey away. But you forgot one other activity on a bus, snatching pictures!. You have reminded me that I took one through a bus window in Edinburgh. I must see if I can find it and post it.

Just great, Casper. Love that high-key in the background, the very light blur, just enough, the boy in his thoughts, I find it poetic and inspiring.

Hi Cas, I've been neglecting TE a bit lately and have just come across some of your recent posts. This is a real delight. The sense of movement is very real and the disconcerting little tilt adds to the overall effect. As does the rather strange way the lad is hold his hand to his face, all adding to the interest.
B&W - perfect, Roberto
