A follow on from a picture I posted yesterday. I was driving around thinking where to go to take pictures when I saw a young man watching a woman as he waited at a bus stop.

I wonder what they were both thinking?

Are you for real, perhaps?!

Hola Casper, I like this image more than the previous one, the effect / contrast between the poster and the punki waiting for the bus is more effective, the exact framing does let's not distract the attention to other elements. It is a good composition with a visual excellent result.

this image is so interesting we can think it is a collage. Very nice the way you put the eyes of the portrait with the eyes of the personage, they are really surprised one with the other. hahaha.

Hi Cassian - What a great shot! I almost missed it but lucky for me it was on page 19 of the gallery! (I don't tend to go past page 20 most of the time) You should label this the "decisive moment!" Because that is exactly what it was! What's really excellent about this one, is that we cannot tell that he is not looking at the advert! Not at first glance anyway. You'd get a bonus point for getting the "Irn Bru" in the shot ;-) Really gave me a laugh this. Thank you! Rgds, Leilani

You have interesting pair of pictures of this meeting. Framing on this one feels a bit tight. But illusion of these two really staring each other is more believable, and therefore I prefer this one. Funny and colourful.

Even better than the previous one, because the subject and the poster play an engaging game, and you`ve captured it at the right time. The colors are pretty much great as in the previous one. Saturated very well.

Hi Casper,
Great shot. The man watching the poster is an anachronism. The hairdress and even the trousers were very real in 1980. The girl on the poster is strange mixture of colours and dressings with a multi-culti effect, but also a statue of liberty crown. She's not realy looking back.
The composition and crop are excellent.

Well seen Casper...the advert itself is enough to grab attention as a photograph, but to add the punk next to it works well. Just a slight shame that his hair wasn´t full of colour as well.

love this one. Funny and well spotted. I always enjoy these kind of shots where you have used your photographer's eye to see a picture possiblity in a situation and then gone for it.I like the way the colours f the poster are picked up by the colour of the guys hair and Irn Bru.

Hi, Casper,

I love the irony that your photo captures so effectively.

But beyond that are some very strong visual qualities.

The commitment of 2/3 of the frame to the very colorful poster certainly grabs the viewer's attention immediately. And it is a wonderfully interesting poster, full of warm colors and life. The echoes of these colors in the fellow on the right add strongly to the visual interest. The red in the pants calls out to the red around the lips and the neck in the poster. The orange in the soda and the blonde hair play off of the strong orange/yellow tones in the poster.

One more note: The late afternoon (?) low angle sunlight also adds a special touch, not only strongly lighting the poster, but adding some luminosity to the soda and the mohawk.
