Photographer’s Note

Same place and same light as yesterday's post, but taken the day after. We had 2 gorgeous frosty morning in a row. It was awesome to go for an early walk before heading to the office!

A narrow boat on the river Wey, no rower for once ;-)

Wow! Great circumstances! The sunlight on the tree brnaches looks lovely, especialy in contrast with the frosty ground. I guess there's someone actually living on that boat, considering the smoke coming out of that pipe? Must be cold inside, but cosey though... Lovely capture!

Bien fait, j'aime beaucoup ces couleurs de l'hiver avec le givre au sol et la lumiére razante.

A wonderous simplicity pervades this image Nicolas - it evokes all of those senses associated with such mornings and such moments - all you needed was the smoke from the chimney to populate your picture with a human presence and there it is!!!! The weave of the reflections in the water is stunning as is the light on these trees to the left - a really great shot.

J'aime bien ces couleurs douces et naturelles. Tout cela respire le froid avec en bonus la fumée dans la cheminée.
