Photographer’s Note

I took this photo at the Watts Gallery in Surrey. It is a lovely little Arts & Crafts building that was designed as Watts' studio and home, and is the first gallery in Britain to be built for a single artist.

This was his sculpture studio, and the photo is of a full size mock-up of the Tennyson statue Watts made which now stands outside of Lincoln Cathedral. I just absolutely love it; and while the colours are amazing there was something so lovely about the depth that b&w provided.

It was taken with a Sony digital SLR.
