Photographer’s Note

I took some photos of people rowing on the same river about a year ago, during a golden morning:
First rower
Second rower
I thought that I would give it a go this year too.
The light wasn't as good as last year, but I enjoyed this "golden hour" anyway.

A lovely atmosphere - i particularly like the red leaves lining the pathway. And the mist off the water. Its technically and creatively very good!!

A wonderful shot! The atmopshere and the buildup of this picture are great and very effective. I especially like this light coming from the side here. Autumn at it's best!

Hi Nicolas. The lighting may not be as good as your previous posts (it is not bad), but I like the composition here. The mist creates an interesting atmosphere, and I like the inclusion of the leafed sidewalk.

I like very much this amazing landscape. Wonderful way of red leaves and well framed shot by this tree. I like also the frog over the river and the detail of this couple.
Perfect light and colours as well.

Nice scene, beautifully composed. The way you placed the rowers inside the '<' was very clever. I can see that your landscape shots get more attention than your street ones. Well.. welcome to the club. :)

Hello Nicolas,

I saw your today's posting on the rowing and I have to say that you are very persistent in your theme :-). For years you're already following rowers on this river? Wow.

The first rower shot in the golden glow was off course top! But this one has a wonderful autumn feel to it. So if I have to choose between today's posting (which is good as well) and this one, I go for this one! It's just the light from the right and the nice red tones in the fallen leaves. It all comes together for me in this one!
