Photographer’s Note
A little game:
story 1:
He was there after a cold night in his shed, walking his only friend. In his case, most people would think that life's a B~#@€, but he doesn't. He's got his dog, he's got the river, he's got the light. This morning, he's a king in his golden kingdom, followed by his most faithful fellow.
Alternative story:
"My bloody bentley didn't start, South west trains aren't running because of engineering problems, I'm stuck here, walking this stupid dog. God knows what the market's doing now... And these ~@&£€$ cows, can't they pooh away from the tracks??? ARghhhh this light is blinding me!!! I tell you, life's a B~#@€!!!"
X is the percentage of you belonging to the first story, Y the percentage of you belonging to the second story. X + Y = 100,
How much of X and Y do you score? (and would like to score)
;-)

Hi Nicholas,
Everything is good in the photograph, but it could have been excellent had the entire shadow in the water been framed. As regard the score, I will give you 50 :-)

Hi Nicholas,
I disagree with Hirak, the photo doesn't need the reflection in the water to be perfect. The photo is about a man and a dog taking a walk. The river complements the scene, and is a secondary element. The foggy mist over the river would be overdone, if the whole reflection had been captured.
Well done! This is a prime example that has shown me that not all backlighting is bad. ;-)
Oh, as far as the X and Y spectrum goes, I think I'd fall about 99% X.
TFS!

Chello, Nicholas!
Very nicely presented morning walk with the dog. It is well known, that getting up early may cause a fantastic shots, enchanced by the morning lighting and fogs. Nice work!

Hi Nicholas,
i prefer the section X, because the picture looks very calm and romantic and should not be disturbed by negative vibes.

hmm I like the first story first...o) Something about walking in the country with a dog that is just beautiful. I often have people stop me when I'm walking mine just to say hello..once actually someone said.."Do you know how lucky you are to live here in this beautiful place?" Yes, walking the dog, loving life..relaxing..thats what I see in your photo. I like the golden colors from the sun and the effects of the mist..very nice. TFS
